Weather and road conditions may require Bend Area Transit to move Route 3 to its designated snow route or to declare a "Snow Schedule". Riders will be alerted to snow schedules via the media, by calling 322-5870, going to www.bendareatransit.com and by alert boards placed at Hawthorne Station and other significant stops.

FLAG STOPS (Route 11 Loop only)

Be near, but a safe distance from the road and face towards the direction the bus is traveling from. When you see the bus please raise your hand to indicate to the driver you wish to board. If you cannot raise a hand or may need an alternate location to board with a mobility device, please contact Bend Area Transit for assistance. To leave the bus, please indicate the location to the driver. The bus will only stop in safe locations.

RIDER ALERT
Construction season has arrived and that means the start of multiple projects around the city.  Included are Bend Area Transit (BAT) projects to improve accessibility to the fixed route system.

For your safety we'd like to remind riders of the following:

A. Expect delays as construction affects buses just like personal vehicles.
B. Allow extra time to get to your destination.
C. Notices will be placed on bus stops to be affected by any project.
D. If safety allows, affected bus stops will have orange cones marked

"Temporary Bus Stop" at a safe location nearby.  Please wait at these cones for pick up.

Thank you for riding BAT and for your patience as we complete these improvements to benefit all of our riders.

BOARDING THE BUS
Exact change is required to board the bus. Drivers are unable to make change. Be at the bus stop at least five (5) minutes before the scheduled stop time. When the bus approaches, look for the route number and designation sign above the windshield. Always feel free to confirm with the driver that you are boarding the correct bus.
