City Manager's Office The responsibilities of the City Manager's Office include the provision of professional leadership in the administration and execution of policies and objectives formulated by City Council, the development and recommendation of alternative solutions to community problems for Council consideration, the planning and development of new programs to meet future needs of the City, preparation of the annual budget, community relations, interagency coordination and fostering community pride in City government through excellent customer service.
 City Manager Eric King E-Mail the City Manager's Office at City Manager (541)388-5505 Eric King began his career in local government working for the City of Portland. In his 10 years there, he worked on a variety of projects and programs focusing on economic development and program management. He began working for the City of Bend as Assistant City Manager in April, 2007 and was appointed interim City Manager in November, 2007. He accepted the position of City Manager in May, 2008.
