Metropolitan Transportation Improvement Program

The BMPO Metropolitan Transportation Improvement Program (MTIP) identifies
transportation projects in the BMPO that are programmed to receive funding over
the next few years. The MTIP lists federally funded and locally funded projects
anticipated by local agencies and the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT).

The MTIP contains a three-year listing of anticipated expenditures for locally funded
projects drawn from the capital improvement programs of Bend and Deschutes
County. It also lists projects from the ODOT Statewide Transportation Improvement
Program (STIP). The MTIP lists projects for which application of specific federal funds
will be made in the next three years.
Projects in the MTIP must be consistent with the
Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP). Additionally, projects proposed for year four are
included for informational purposes.
