The Bend Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is the lead agency for regional transportation planning and the decision making body for federal and state transportation funding for the Bend Area. The MPO works cooperatively with local governments to set priorities for transportation needs. Our transportation systems depend upon these critical federal and state dollars. One of the best ways to help ensure that the transportation system meets your needs is to stay informed and to be involved in the transportation planning decision-making process. The Bend MPO provides the public with full access to key decisions and the information upon which they are based. The Bend MPO encourages the involvement of interested groups and the general public during the development and modification of its transportation programs. Meeting schedules, agendas, and minutes are published on the MPOs website at: www.bendmpo.org. We welcome your participation and comments.
Do you believe that you have been treated unfairly?
If you believe that you have been treated unfairly, you may file a written complaint with the Bend MPO. Complaints may be filed by any person who believes that he or she has been excluded from participation in, been denied the benefits of, or otherwise subjected to discrimination under any MPO service, program, or activity, and believes the discrimination is based upon race, color, national origin, gender, age, disability, economic status or limited English proficiency. Written complaints will be investigated. A signed written complaint must be submitted within 180 days of the alleged discriminatory act (or latest occurrence). Federal laws prohibit a recipient of federal funds from retaliating against any person who has made a complaint, testified, assisted, or participated in any manner in an investigation, proceeding, or hearing. Written complaint forms can be obtained at the MPO Office in Bend (575 NE 15th Street), by calling 541-693-2113 or by visiting the MPO's website at: www.bendmpo.org
