All hotels, motels, bed and breakfasts or any other entity doing business with nightly room rentals in the Bend City limits must be registered with the City of Bend to remit room tax on a monthly basis. Operators must register (15) fifteen calendar days after commencing business. In order to do so, a Transient Room Tax Registration Form needs to be completed and returned to the City of Bend. Once the completed registration form has been returned to the City, a Certificate of Authority to collect transient room tax will be issued. All correspondence, registration forms, remittance forms and payments may be sent to the following address: City of Bend, Attn: Finance Dept., P.O. Box 1024, Bend, Oregon 97709. Please also note that any new vacation rental home, starting business after August 7, 2006, needs to submit a Vacation Rental Application. Forms are available below and must be submitted to the City of Bend Planning Department for approval.
