Old Station 301
"Main Station"
5 NW Minnesota Ave.

Built in 1920, Station 301 has undergone many remodels. After serving the Bend Fire Department as the main station and the administrative office for 80 years, the department moved out of the station in 2000 to its new location at 1212 SW Simpson Ave.
Old Station 301 will soon become a mixed-use facility including, dining, retail, office and residential spaces. In addition, space has been earmarked for a restaurant. Historical preservation requirements guarantee the fire pole, fireplace, and the brick facade will remain. The building will be enlarged above the newer fire engine bays for residential lofts.
The Bend Development Board is currently funding a sales agreement with Acadia Properties, LLC of Bend. The Exclusive Negotiation Agreement with Acadia has been signed by both parties and the Disposition and Development Agreement is being negotiated. The old fire hall is a key element of the Minnesota Streetscape project, which is part of the redevelopment of downtown Bend.

The 4 new fire stations were all designed exactly alike to provide for easier maintenance, crew ease, and building recognition. By keeping the designs the same, this also reduced the overall price of all the stations.
