Guidelines for Employment

Applications and resumes for positions at the City of Bend are accepted only when we have jobs posted. (Click on the sidebar "Employment Opportunities" for current jobs posted).

To apply, submit your application no later than the closing date and time specified in the job announcement. Resumes may be used to supplement applications, but a completed City of Bend Employment Application form must be received to be considered for employment.

City of Bend hiring procedures allow the hiring of temporary employees through Express Personnel Services. You may want to contact Express Personnel Services in Bend at 389-1505 and inquire as to positions they have open that fit your background.

It generally takes 15-20 working days for employment applications and supplemental information submitted to be reviewed and to notify those who will be interviewed.

Normally, only applicants who are to be interviewed will be notified. If you have not heard from us within 15-20 days following the closing date of a posted job opening, it is likely that you have not been selected for an interview.
