Records Division

Records Supervisor Dixi Angus was hired by the City of Bend Police Department in 1999.  Prior to being hired by the Bend Police Department, she worked in the Aerospace Industry as a Design Control Supervisor for Space Launch Complex 6 (SLC-6) at Vandenberg Air Force Base.  She also worked as a Scheduler and Cost Estimator at the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant near San Luis Obispo, CA.

Records is a very busy group.  They are responsible for processing, controlling, maintaining, and retrieving all reports and citations.  They assist officers in researching computer records and answer nearly all phone calls coming into the police department to ensure our customers are connected to the appropriate person.

This section is highly organized and capable of answering almost any question.  Our community, as well as our police officers, depend on the records staff to ensure quality record-keeping, accurate information and friendly service.   

 Another of the many responsibilities of our records staff is to ensure accurate entry and proper retrieval of computerized information.  The Bend Police Department regularly enters and uses information from the National Crime Information Center and the state Law Enforcement Data System.  One way to ensure the accuracy and integrity of this information is to ensure that all staff with access to this information is appropriately trained and certified on an annual basis.  Our records staff ensures this training is completed and monitors this information on an on-going basis.
