Pilot Butte Cemetery The Pilot Butte Cemetery was established in 1913. It includes 40 acres of land with 13 acres developed and is maintained by Street Division personnel. Equipment Services Division The Equipment Services Division was created for and designed to maintain and repair City of Bend fleet. The City's fleet has equipment from every department within the City, including Police, Fire and Rescue, Public Works, Community Development, and Administration. The items within the City's fleet vary widely, from riding lawn mowers to reinforced SWAT command vehicles. Equipment Services reserves the unique ability to arrange schedules to meet the specific demands of each department within the City. Understanding the goals of each department is essential to effectively prioritize fleet repairs and maintenance. Vehicles and equipment related to public safety alway maintain the highest priority. Record keeping is an important part of Equipment Service. Commercial labor, parts expenses, mechanic hours, fuel consumption and mileage are tracked and used to make budgeting decisions.
